Terms of Service

Draft notice. These terms were drafted directly from Edgebook's actual features and beta status — not a generic template — but they have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Have them reviewed before relying on them as a final, binding document.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Edgebook (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What Edgebook is

Edgebook is a trading journal: a tool to record and analyze your own trading activity. Edgebook does not execute trades, hold funds, or connect to your brokerage account, and it is not a financial advisor.

3. Not financial advice

Nothing in Edgebook — including statistics, AI-generated commentary from Thales AI, or any other content — constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. All trading decisions are your own responsibility. Past performance shown in the app is not indicative of future results.

4. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your password secure.
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Edgebook is currently invite-only during its private beta; access may be limited or changed at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service — for example, abusing AI features, attempting to bypass usage limits, or attacking the Service's infrastructure.

5. Beta status

Edgebook is currently in private beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. The Service is provided free of charge during this period; this may change in the future, with advance notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to the Service's infrastructure
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including circumventing rate limits or usage quotas
  • Upload content you don't have the right to upload (e.g. a screenshot containing someone else's personal data)

7. AI features

Thales AI uses third-party AI providers to generate analysis based on your trading data. AI-generated content can be inaccurate or incomplete and should never be treated as financial advice (see Section 3). Usage of AI features is subject to the monthly limits described in the app.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the trading data and content you enter into Edgebook. You can export it at any time via the Excel export feature, and you can request deletion of your account and data at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculation will be free of bugs — this is a young product in active development, tested extensively but not infallible.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Edgebook and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including trading losses — arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. We'll note material changes here.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Italy.
