Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Edgebook is an independent project, currently in private beta and not yet operated through a registered company. For any question about this policy or your data, contact: help@edgebooktrading.com.
2. What data we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and password (stored as a one-way hash — we never store or can see your actual password).
- Trading data you enter: trades, accounts, strategies, notes, and tags (emotions, mistakes, market session, setup quality, and similar).
- Files you choose to upload: trade screenshots and a profile picture, both optional.
- Two-factor authentication: if you enable it, a TOTP secret used only to verify your login codes, plus one-time recovery codes (stored hashed).
- Technical data: your IP address, used only to enforce rate limits against abuse (e.g. repeated failed logins).
- Communications: transactional emails we send you (verification codes, account-change confirmations), sent through our email provider.
We do not collect payment information today — the Service is free during its private beta.
3. How we use your data
- To create, secure, and let you log into your account, including two-factor authentication if you enable it.
- To store and display your own trading data back to you.
- To calculate the statistics you see in the app — all calculations run on our own servers, never sent to a third party for computation.
- To send transactional emails (email verification, password/email change confirmation codes).
- If you use Thales AI: to send your trading statistics, and any screenshots you explicitly choose to attach, to our AI provider so it can generate an analysis for you.
- To enforce reasonable usage limits and prevent abuse of the Service.
4. Who we share data with
We use the following third-party services to operate Edgebook. Each receives only the minimum data it needs for its specific function, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

We do not sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that's the case, we rely on their Standard Contractual Clauses or other GDPR-recognized safeguards for the transfer.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and data deleted, contact us at help@edgebooktrading.com and we will delete it, except where we're required to retain certain records by law.
6. Your rights
If you're located in the European Economic Area (or anywhere with similar data protection law), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format (you can already export your full trade history to Excel directly from the app)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact help@edgebooktrading.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text, sensitive account changes (email, password) require a confirmation code sent by email, and two-factor authentication is available. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and local storage
Edgebook uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in (an authentication token) and to remember your preferences (theme, language). These are strictly necessary for the Service to work and are not used for advertising or tracking. We do not currently use any analytics or advertising cookies.
9. Children
Edgebook is not intended for anyone under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and communicate material changes by email or an in-app notice.
